Patience, as you know, is a virtue, but it is always underrated, despite being one of the most important qualities one can have. In today’s generation, everyone seeks instant gratification, and it is easy to get caught up in the rat race and forget to take a step back and appreciate the importance of waiting.

But your life as a Christian requires patience as a necessity and not a virtue alone, No matter your current situation, you need to be patient. Don’t give up because God isn’t done with you yet, and He is not in a hurry to do so. God wants to show you why you shouldn’t quit yet, so be intentional about watching this video to the end.

Patience is the key to unlocking God’s best for your life. But despite its value, It has become one of the most scarce qualities. And as a result, people now see the waiting process as unbearable. Many people expect to see God’s blessings and promises unfolding in their lives, but can’t wait.

But as a believer, you must always remember that you serve a God whose ways differ from yours. So don’t expect Him to work at your pace, irrespective of the delays and setbacks you’re facing. you must continue holding on to your faith in God.

If you search the Scriptures, you’ll see several people endured the waiting period. They embraced patience and, in the end, could enjoy its fruits. No matter how long or unbearable the situation, wait on the Lord.
Remember that James 1, 2-4 says, Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance.

Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything. Suppose you’ve never had any reason to keep holding on. Today, God wants to open your eyes to a few crucial reasons why you must not quit yet.

1. God is not a man and cannot lie. Whatever he says comes to pass. Beloved, God’s promises are yes and amen. Throughout the scriptures, you’ll find different examples of individuals who endured great hardships. But they were patient and waited for the fulfillment of God’s promises. Abraham waited for years before he became the father of many nations.
In due time, God will also fulfill his promises in your life. Delay in the fulfillment of certain dreams and desires births discouragement. But amid this feeling of worry, you must always remember that God’s promises are unwavering. 2 Corinthians 1.20 says, For no matter how many promises God has made, they are, yes, in Christ. And so through him the Amen is spoken by us to the glory of God.

2. Patience Strengthens Faith Patience is not just about enduring a difficult situation. Rather, it is a process that transforms your character and strengthens your faith. There is a very unique connection between faith and patience. As you already know, faith is the belief that God is at work in your life, even when you can’t see it.

At the same time, patience is your ability to wait on God’s promises. The two go hand in hand. When you trust God for something, Waiting on Him strengthens your faith even more. The moment you’re unable to hold on, it becomes easier to lose faith and give up on God’s plan for your life.

Do you know why? The waiting period comes with trials and obstacles. Your faith in God will no doubt get tested. But amid this, patience keeps you focused on Him, strengthening your reliance on Him alone. If you choose not to give up, you will testify to God’s faithfulness.

Your triumphant testimony will inspire others around you as well. 3. God’s timing is perfect. God has his own sense of timing. With the Lord, a day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years are like a day to Peter 3.
8. He has perfect timing. Never early, never late. This scripture is enough reason to be patient and hold on to God.

Maybe you’ve never heard anyone say this before, but hear it now, God is never late. He steps in just at the right time. You might expect him to show up when you’re on the verge of losing your job. But don’t feel surprised when he shows up when you’ve already lost the job.

At this point, it might feel like he has given up on you. Well, he hasn’t. He didn’t show up when you expected him to because he has better plans for you. Maybe you’ve held onto that job for too long and blinded you from greater opportunities that He has for you.

You might feel sad and gloomy when your prayers aren’t answered when you want them to. Nonetheless, it doesn’t change that God’s timing is perfect. In our fast-paced world, it’s easy to become impatient and frustrated when things don’t happen as quickly as we would like.

We want things to happen at the snap of our fingers. without any delay or waiting involved. However, it is important to remember that God does operate on our timetable. His ways are higher than ours, and His thoughts are higher than ours.

He sees the bigger picture and knows what is best for us, even if it means making us wait. The Bible tells us in Ecclesiastes 3, 11, He has made everything beautiful in its time. This means that God has a specific timeline
for each and every one of our circumstances.

He knows exactly when to bring about the desired outcome, whether it’s healing, provision, restoration, or breakthrough. 4. You’ll learn life-transforming lessons while waiting. It is during the waiting period that our faith and character are refined.

Patience is a virtue that is best developed when things do not happen according to our plans. It is in these moments that we learn to trust in God’s sovereignty and wisdom. We learn to relinquish control and surrender our desires and agendas to Him.

While waiting can be challenging and uncomfortable, it is essential to our spiritual journey. It teaches us to lean on God, seek His guidance, and rely on His strength. It also allows us to develop perseverance and endurance.
These are spiritual fruits that we must all have.

And since God is more interested in our formation than our results, He doesn’t mind taking us through a waiting process to build us up spiritually. Patience draws you closer to God. When you’re patient enough to seek God’s direction, His voice becomes clearer and His guidance more evident.

As you persevere, God reveals His plans and purpose for your life. This equips you with the wisdom and discernment needed to make the right choices. In surrendering your life plans to Him, you gain invaluable insights that prepare you for what lies ahead.

Also, if you’re patient, your rewards extend far beyond this earthly realm. Scripture assures that those who endure until the end will receive the rewards of eternal life.
Your struggles and delays are nothing compared to the glory that awaits you. If you want to experience this, your gaze should be on God.

If you don’t quit, your reward will not be here on earth alone, but in eternity. The Bible reassures you that his plans for you are good and will give you a great future. Like a master craftsman who intentionally makes his sculptures with great care, God also prepares each of his promises for you with love.

He utilizes every circumstance and struggle you go through for your growth and fulfillment. Being patient means submitting yourself to His will. See the likes of Joseph, Abraham, David, and Job. You can’t talk about patience without mentioning them.

These were men who exhibited sincere trust and faith in God.
They held on to God’s promises for their lives, no matter how difficult. Look at Joseph. For example, he was sold into slavery and imprisoned despite his innocence.

Yet, he never lost hope. He was patient and kept waiting on God for years until the light shone on him. How about Job? He was a man that God blessed beyond measure. Within the twinkle of an eye, his life turned around. He lost everything he owned, from his children to all his properties.

He became a miserable man. Yet, he never gave up on God. He accepted it the same way he received God’s blessings. And because he was patient and didn’t quit, God smiled on him, and his latter blessings were far greater than his former ones.

Dear child of God, don’t let impatience tempt you to deviate from God’s plan for your life. Do you want to know why failure to wait on God can attract consequences such as 1. missed opportunities. When you choose not to wait on God, you’ll miss the divine opportunities, leading you to make rash decisions that can jeopardize God’s plan for your life.

For instance, Abraham and Sarah’s impatience led them to conceive Ishmael, the same child who did not fulfill God’s promise of a great nation. Their inability to wait on God’s timing brought about strife and division. Imagine If Job gave up on God, what if he had heeded his wife’s advice and cursed God?

He won’t have been a sight to behold. But he acknowledged that if God could bless him, then he also had the power to take from him as well.
2. Emotional Exhaustion and Shattered Faith in God Impatience can trigger negative and unhealthy feelings, such as anxiety, frustration, and worry. in God, you’ll just notice that the foundation of your faith is shaking.

And you’ll begin to question god’s love for you, just as the Israelites doubted god while waiting for Moses to descend from mount Sinai. When this happens, the devil begins manipulating you to look for other options. It is funny how people always say, heaven helps those who help themselves.

They say this with so much confidence, as though it’s a scripture in the Bible. But the truth remains that it is one of the devil’s schemes to lure you away from God. And by the time you realize you’re on the wrong path, don’t let anyone deceive you into thinking you can assist God.

Just exercise patience and you’ll see the outcome. One of the most painful situations anyone can find himself in is losing his relationship with God. You cannot have a connection with a human being that’ll equal what you share with him.

That is why believers are always advised to guard their relationship with God with jealousy. But when you refuse to wait on him, your relationship with him will suffer as well as your relationship with others. For example, the biblical account of Esau and Jacob illustrates the bitter consequences of impatience.

Of course, God loved Jacob. but he mischievously obtained his father’s blessings, greatly affecting Jacob’s relationship with his brother Esau for years. Similarly, failing to wait on God can harm your relationships. 4. Missed Spiritual Growth Remember that one of the reasons why you must wait on God is because it’ll lead to your spiritual growth.

But the moment you quit, growth becomes impossible. You must cross the finish line before you can receive the reward. Waiting on God until the end compels God to declare all blessings on you, as you can see from Joseph’s journey from slavery to ruling Egypt.

You’ll observe that his unwavering trust and reliance on God is worthy of emulation. Joseph’s patience and enduring spirit catapulted him to a level of greatness. And through this, he was able to save his family. It is when you’re patient to wait on God, you’ll realize that your growth and development are not dependent on material or worldly achievements, but on your walk and steadfast trust in God.

Dear friend, it is true that waiting on God can be difficult, but it is also true that it is the key to a life of purpose and fulfillment.
When you understand the gravity of impatience, you’ll be more inclined to choose the path of waiting, trusting, and relying on God’s perfect timing.

Whenever you’re tempted to quit, remember the words of the psalmist in Psalm 27, 13-14. I remain confident of this. I will see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living. Wait for the Lord. Be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord.

In the same way that a farmer waits for the right season to harvest his crops, you must also persevere and wait for the harvest of God’s promises in your life. Of course, it might not be so easy, but the Lord will strengthen you. So you have no right to give up on God or yourself when God hasn’t drawn the line.

If you didn’t know it before, know it today. You’re a work in progress in God’s hands. He has your life in his hands. Exercise patience and don’t quit and you will testify. Let us pray. Dear gracious Lord, I am overwhelmed by your love and faithfulness in my life.

Your grace and mercies have preserved my life for as long as I can remember. It is not because I deserve it, but your love has singled me out for your favor. I thank you for your protection over my life. Your word says that the devil moves around like a roaring lion, looking for whom to devour.

But you have made a hedge of fire around me, and you have put a mark on me. Thank you for not allowing the devil’s schemes over my life to come to pass.
I lift your name high above every other name. Thank you for your divine provision and for not allowing me to lack. I exalt your name forever.

I acknowledge that I am not perfect. Please forgive my sins. In any way, I’ve sinned and fallen short of your glory. Have mercy on me. I don’t want to continue to sin and take your mercies for granted. I know it is possible to live holy because you have commanded me to do so.

Please give me the grace to live a holy life. Thank you, Abba Father. for forgiving me. Heavenly Father, I’m here to pour out my heart to you in sincerity. The challenges around me are overwhelming, and I need you to hold my hand. I acknowledge that sometimes I feel like giving up and get tired most of the time, but my assurance is that you can never leave a project incomplete.

You have never done it before, and you won’t start now. and I grow weary and want to give up. But Lord, I know you are always by my side, even amid my struggles. Please grant me the strength to be patient to endure this difficult season in my life.

Help me remember that you are not in a hurry and your timing is perfect. Remind me that you have a plan for my life and that every step I take leads me closer to your purpose for me. When the road seems long, and the obstacles seem insurmountable, give me the courage to keep going.

Help me to trust in your unfailing love, knowing that you will never leave me nor forsake me. Fill my heart with hope and peace.
Lord, in those moments when I feel weak and discouraged, remind me of your faithfulness. Allow your Holy Spirit to strengthen me and uplift my spirit. Let your presence surround me. Fill me with your peace that surpasses all understanding.

I surrender my fears, doubts, and worries to you, dear Lord. Strengthen my faith and help me to persevere. I know that with you, all things are possible. In your precious name, I pray. Amen. Above all, give me the spirit of patience to hold on and wait on you no matter how difficult.

Please separate the people around me who are trying to discourage me from my life. My hope and trust are in you alone. I have no one else to turn to. Please heal my heart from the pain of delay and help me to surrender my will to you at all times.

Thank you for hearing and answering my prayers. Amen.
