Dear brothers and sisters in Christ,
Today, we gather in the presence of God to meditate on a profound passage from the Gospel according to Matthew – Chapter 24, verse 14. This verse reveals the divine purpose and the pivotal role of proclaiming the good news of the reign of God throughout the world.

In Matthew 24:14, Jesus gives us what is commonly known as “The Great Commission.” He says, “And this good news of the reign shall be proclaimed in all the world, for a testimony to all the nations, and then shall the end arrive.”
With these powerful words, Jesus sets forth a mission for every believer, calling us to share the Gospel with all people, transcending cultural, linguistic, and geographical boundaries.
The Good News of the Reign:
The “good news” or the Gospel is the core message of God’s redeeming love and grace. It centers on the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ, offering forgiveness of sins and eternal life to all who believe in Him.
This message proclaims the reign of God, a kingdom of righteousness, peace, and joy, where Christ rules in the hearts of believers.
Proclaimed in All the World:
The command to proclaim the Gospel to all nations demonstrates God’s heart for inclusivity and love for all humanity. It reminds us that salvation is not restricted to any particular group but is available to everyone, regardless of race, ethnicity, or social status.
As followers of Christ, we are called to be messengers of this transformative message to the ends of the earth.
A Testimony to All Nations:
Our task is not just to share words but to live lives that bear witness to the truth and power of the Gospel. Our actions, attitudes, and deeds should reflect the love and compassion of Christ, giving credibility to our testimony.
